With more than 100 vehicles, the passenger cars referred to as standard cars I are still the largest passenger car series on the Rhaetian Railway to this day. The cars were developed in the early 1960s and were delivered from 1962. They got the modern design by redesigning the entrance area. This clearly sets them apart from the older vehicles. The common features of these cars are lightweight steel construction, entrances and toilets at the end of the car, a corrugated roof and large compartments. The wagons run on SIG torsion bar bogies and, together with a high level of sound insulation in the interior, offer extremely smooth running.

For the first time, Kiss Modellbahnen Swiss, is producing exactly-to-scale standard cars as handcrafted models for the 2m gauge. Spring-loaded SIG torsion bar bogies with ball bearing axles, spring-loaded central buffers, LED interior lighting switchable via function decoder and an authentic interior in every car class as well as different car numbers and REV data make this car a model in a class of its own.

The main network wagons will have a length of approx. 820 mm.
