The 99 5906 is a steam locomotive with a long history. It was built in 1914 in the locomotive factory in Karlsruhe. In 1920 she went to the Nordhausen Wernigerode railway. This locomotive still exists today and is owned by the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways. In 1949 the locomotive went from the NWE to the Deutsche Reichsbahn. For decades she served in the Harz mountains on the Selketalbahn. 99 5906 has been the property of HSB since 1993. The locomotive is operational and often pulls the vintage train.
